38 Percent Growth in 2005 Propels Firm to Top Position in West Michigan
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., May 8, 2006 – Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A) has been ranked among the 100 largest public relations firms in the United States, according to an annual listing issued by the J.R. O’Dwyer Company, a leading industry news source whose weekly newsletter has been described by the New York Times as the “Bible of the PR field.” As the only West Michigan agency to make the top 100, LE&A has displaced its rivals to become the largest public relations firm in the region.
O’Dwyer’s rankings are based primarily on annual fee revenue. LE&A’s more than $2.6 million in 2005 revenue – a 38 percent increase from 2004 – ranks the firm 85th among independent firms with major U.S. operations. Reporting specifications did not allow LE&A to include the additional fee revenue gained from its May 2005 acquisition of Grand Rapids-based Straightline PR, which would have further bolstered the firm’s position.
