LE&A Wins Two Golds in National Bulldog PR Awards

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 24, 2006 – Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A) earned two Golds in the national 2006 Bulldog Awards for Excellence in Media Relations & Publicity for the launch of the Today’s New International Version (TNIV) Bible translation for Zondervan, the world’s leading Bible publisher.
LE&A, the largest public relations firm in Western Michigan, earned Gold Awards in the Product Positioning/Branding and New Product Launch (Consumer) categories based on the firm’s creativity and originality, strategic and tactical execution, and media relations results for the TNIV Bible launch. Judged by a blue-ribbon panel of working journalists, the Bulldog Awards recognize the best media relations campaigns of the year by companies and agencies nationwide. LE&A was the only firm in Michigan to earn a gold, silver or bronze Bulldog Award.
As part of its ongoing engagement of the firm for corporate communications, Zondervan retained LE&A to develop and manage the public relations strategy for the pre-launch and market entry of the TNIV translation of the Bible, introduced in February 2005. Through targeted outreach to potential consumers and leveraging key media opportunities, the campaign produced coverage in more than 1,500 media outlets including the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Associated Press, CNN and MSNBC, bolstering the successful launch of the translation and its status as the biggest Bible translation launch in history.
