Campaigns for Spartan Motors and Zondervan Win Top National Awards at New York Gala

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 15, 2007 – Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A), one of the Midwest’s top-ranked public relations agencies, today announced it has been awarded two prestigious Silver Anvil Awards by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for work on behalf of custom manufacturer, Spartan Motors, and the world’s leading Bible publisher, Zondervan. For the second consecutive year, LE&A was the only Michigan agency honored with a Silver Anvil at the PRSA event.

The 2007 Silver Anvil Award recipients were announced on June 14, 2007 during the evening ceremony in New York City. LE&A was awarded its first Silver Anvil of the evening for its Spartan Motors investor relations campaign, which resulted in a 500 percent increase in daily trading volume and a 140 percent jump in share price during 2006.

Its second Silver Anvil recognized LE&A’s successful launch of Zondervan’s Inspired By… The Bible Experience, the most ambitious and innovative audio Bible on the market. The launch secured more than 420 print stories, including three separate features in USA Today, as well as segments on CNN, CBS Sunday Morning and Weekend Today, resulting in more than 50 million impressions.

The campaign also helped lead consumer adoption of Inspired By… The Bible Experience, encouraging sales of 33,000 units during the critical Christmas week alone, making it Zondervan’s fastest-selling new Bible to date. Additionally, this is the second year in a row that LE&A has won a Silver Anvil for a Zondervan campaign, having received the award in 2006 for the launch of the Today’s New International Version Bible.

“The Silver Anvil Award is the highest mark of success in the public relations industry, and we are very proud to be recognized for leading two of the year’s most successful public relations and investor relations campaigns,” said Jeff Lambert, managing partner of LE&A. “These awards are a testament to the exceptional work of our team, and the confidence our clients have in our abilities. They also further establish our growing presence on a national level.”

“The Silver Anvil, symbolizing the forging of public opinion, is awarded annually to organizations who have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness,” said David M. Imre, APR, 2007 Silver Anvil Chair. “These campaigns have gone above and beyond these expectations and are well-deserving of these awards.”
